Every year Rico's Foundation recognizes one teacher who has contributed and sacrificed a lot for the students of Desruisseaux.  The foundation then provides a grant of $1000 in their honor.  The 2026 distinguished teacher is Mr. Thomas Daniel.  Thank you for all you have done for the students in our community.
